Hello everyone! I'm a huge fan of this site and have been for some time. I'm not really sure why it took me this long to create a profile. I'm a big fan of both ACII and AC:B. I've never played ACI, but plan on jumping into that one when I get through AC:B. You all do wonderful work and it has been incredibly helpful. Thanks for your help. I'm glad to be here.

Hello and welcome! Glad you decided to join us Party

ACII and AC:B are great but I would definitely recommend AC1 and I'm glad you said you'll play it at some point.

Anyway, hi I and hope to hear/see more from you Smile

Welcome, when you play Ac1, you'll realize what a let-down Ac:B actually is

Welcome to The Hidden Blade, Gopher. I'm a big fan of AC1 but many people prefer AC2 and AC:B. It's okay if you turn out to be among them. One thing I'd recommend before playing AC1 is my Beginners' Guide (NO spoilers). It will give purpose to the part of the game that some find repetitive.

You won't even feel the blade.

Hello there. Grade AC1 is the reason this site exists. (Just think about it. If it weren't for the fact that you could get detected easily and had to run away alot Stabby probably wouldn't have done those stylish assassinations and Ian probably wouldn't have done those expert gameplay challenges.)

I prefer Assassin's Creed 2 for the gameplay and the storyline. I was on the edge of my seat the whole time playing it.
I prefer Assassin's Creed 1 for the assassinations and freedom
I prefer not to play Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood unless im playing multiplayer

AC2 is still my favourite, I have replayed it so many times, the structure of the game is almost perfect. I enjoy AC1 as a different game from AC2 and B though

Welcome! I like AC1 for it's originality and realistic atmosphere. If you f*cked up, you dealt with it!!! Evil

AC2 was more cinematic, and after thinking about it, the non-ability to replay memories was a smart move on Ubi's part. It helped the player understand the personal adventures of Ezio and bond with him. Learning along with the newly found Assassin.

AC:B is only good for multiplayer. 'Nuff said. FLAE's eye roll

Just finished AC:B. I thought the game was fun until the last 2 or 3 sequences when it all became complete scripted. I'm really disappointed with the way they chose to end the game. They spent so much time building up to the ending and then rushed the hell out of it. I think I completed the last 2 sequences in 20 minutes. I had to wait longer than that for the credits to run. I really hope that Ubisoft does a better job than that when they make ACIII. Time to go back and play ACI.

Welcome, GopherBlaine. We're all huge fans of this site too, so there's one thing we all have in common!

It's great that you decided to join. Party Do you make videos yourself?

EDIT: I mean gameplay videos, of course. Shy

Once upon a time there was an ugly Assassin. He was so ugly that everyone died. The end.

Wow Draco, quite the literary genius.
Lisa - thanks for the welcome. I don't make videos of any kind. Most of my gaming gets done at night after the wife and kids are asleep.

me too! thats when i get 90% of my gaming done. my early videos were done by video camera pointing at the tv. i had to record at night so that there was no background noise and the room was dark. i kept the tv volume low, which made every other noise in the room sound loud as hell (including my controller mashing sounds Big smile ).

GopherBlaine's picture

That's funny Ian. I had to replay some of the missions early on because the TV volume was too low and I couldn't hear the dialogue in the cut scenes. And that feels like a luxury. If I try and plan when they're napping in the afternoon I always wake them up early, and I can't stand playing with no sound at all.

ooh, so that's why we kept hearing every little click like it was an earthquake Smile
i've always wondered about that actually

Things will not calm down, Daniel Jackson. They will in fact calm up
