I seriously hope they're not going to lure us in by making it seem like an older game only to pull a fast one and just make another RPG.

I bet they will. There's word of a skill tree and gear, but I don't know the extent of them.

There was a leaked screenshot and buzz about an exciting new feature: Investigations!

So new, in fact, that they were in AC Unity!

If they can make investigations affect the mission somehow, that would be a significant addition. If I learn that my target will be accompanied by a bodyguard, maybe I can locate that bodyguard and take him out before the mission.

Mirage is apparently Origins x Unity, what are your thoughts on this? I have nothing much to add, seeing as I've played neither.
The only RPG element is weapon levellling, which does give me some hope.

I've heard this too. I had fun with Origins, in that I could take out entire camps with stealth. Unity was one of the last AC games that seemed to care about the actual Creed with its story. A mix of these would be welcomed as long as they take out the janky Unity parkour and mythological focus of the RPG games.

I haven't picked up Mirage yet. Almost did on Black Friday, but grabbed Jedi Survivor instead. Need to finish a second playthrough of that and Baldur's Gate 3, then next sale for Mirage and I'll grab it.

Jedi Survivor and Baldur's Gate 3 are great reasons to not play Mirage yet. I feel like it'll go back on sale sooner than later.

I've gotten Mirage now, but still stuck in Baldur's Gate 3.

Has anyone here played Lies of P? It looks something like Assassin's Creed Syndicate and I read somewhere that fans of AC would enjoy it.

I played a little of the demo. The game is pretty much a Pinnochio themed Dark Souls game. The visuals are Victorian London with life sized puppet enemies. I personally don't like it as much as Dark Souls.

I have a big trip coming up. Not sure if there's enough interest for another "Where in the World is stabguy?"
